The Game of Fan Tan
Fan Tan, also known as fancy, is an ancient form of gaming that was popular in the early days of China. In the West it's now referred to as" Pai Gow," which literally means," Luck of the Golden Flower." It is an unreliable game that has many similarities to blackjack. There aren't any cards, and the outcome of every hand of cards is determined solely by the luck of the draw. You don't need any special skills to play. Fan Tan is a simple game. Three piles of ten cards, dealt from left-to-right, are then turned face up in the form of a card.
The dealer will draw seven cards from his deck. This is the first phase of the game. Then, the twelve players are split into two teams with each team receiving seven cards from the dealer. At this point, the cards are turned face down and the current Fan Tan order is written on the back of each card. Each player receives a new Fan Tan stack. The Fan Tan stacks are laid out in the middle with the first cards drawn.
The second part of the game is identical to the first, except that players are dealt additional sevens. The cards are then turned over face-down again after this round. Once again, the new Fan Tan order is written on the reverse of the cards. This time around, the cards that have been turned over are set in the standard 52-card deck.
The scoring is the same as the normal version. The amount of chips that players have is added together and added to create the player's score at the end of the game. The player with the highest number of chips at the end of the game will win. In other words, the player who has the smallest amount of chips at the end of the game will win.
A new rule is now in place. If a player has less chips than the other player will be given a second chance to draw. The second player is not allowed to draw more cards until the first player gets a chance to do so. The dealer then places seven cards on the tableau facing down. These cards are labeled from A to G. The dealer then hands out seven cards to each player beginning with "A". Then, the dealer places all seven cards on the table face-up.
After that the players each receive two cards face up and can choose which pile to draw from. The first player chooses the card that is lowest in value. The second player selects the card with the highest value. The last player will draw from the top of the pile, unless there is an additional card selected by the dealer who was first chosen. The first dealer will typically go over the cards once more after the last card is dealt. After that the dealer will give the game back to the player who started it and start the second round.
This game is similar to solitaire, however it involves four players. You must deal the cards once before you can try it again. The dealer will usually end the game to ensure that the other players can take turns. This means that you and your four best friends need to be ready to deal the cards when your turn is called by the dealer.
